The APA Style Citation Tutorial is created by staff at the University of Alberta Library to support students and faculty in EDU 100/300 courses in the Faculty of Education at the University of Alberta. The tutorial covers why it is important to use citations, elements of common source types, and how to create reference and in-text citations based on the 7th edition APA guidelines. The sources and activities throughout the tutorial focus on educational content. This tutorial can also be used as a reference resource. The APA Style Citation Tutorial is an adaptation of the Introduction to APA Library Tutorials by NorQuest College Library. They provided resources and support for the creation of this tutorial.

Cada lección tiene una plática que se puede leer y escuchar simultáneamente y una aplicación para poder grabarse y escucharse. Los diálogos tienen como objetivo poder completar cierta tarea práctica y avanzan de forma gradual siguiendo la pedagogía del aprendizaje por medio de acciones. Los ejercicios interactivos, tareas y enlaces para materiales suplementarios le ayudaran al estudiante a desarrollar una destreza elemental. Esperamos que mas alla de aprender otra lengua, sirva para rescatar un poquito de la cultura Nahua al aprender y mantener viva esta lengua en peligro.

The manual’s purpose is to give students the foundational knowledge necessary to start searching for information in Educational Psychology using the University of Alberta Library’s catalog and databases. The manual contains step by step instructions, videos, and examples. The successful completion of the learning objectives will depend on spending sufficient time reading through the manual, answering the exercise questions, and reviewing the examples whenever necessary, which should take at least one hour and a half of uninterrupted time.
