The Open Education Alberta (OEA) Pressbooks program promotes the development of shared Open Educational Resources (OER) through access to a shared hosted Pressbook platform licensed by The Alberta Library (TAL). 13 Alberta institutions are currently participating.
How to Join
Institutions must be TAL members to participate in the Open Education Alberta Pressbooks Program. Institutions must also be OEA members, and can join OEA at any time, for no charge by emailing the OEA Steering Committee at contact@openeducationalberta.ca.

Project History
Open Education Alberta was launched in 2020 by the Alberta OER Technology and Infrastructure Working Group, a community of practice group that was formed in 2019, which brought together institutional representatives from Mount Royal University, MacEwan University, University of Calgary, University of Lethbridge, The University of Alberta and the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology to contribute their vision to this program.
