Accessibility checking
It is recommended that books meet the BCcampus accessibility criteria.
Before requesting to publishing, please ensure that all books have:
- An appropriate Creative Commons Licenses assigned
- An available download file for access and archiving
- Appropriate acknowledgement statements in the books front matter
Request that Open Education Alberta publish the book
- Fill out the Google form to request publication be to the OEA Directory and for the assignment of a DOI and ISBN.
Add a static copy to your institution’s repository (optional)
- Export a PDF copy of the book
- In the DOI field, enter the DOI that was minted for you by the UofA or by your institution
Submit for indexing by other OER indexing services
- Items included in the OEA catalog are automatically included in the Pressbooks Directory
- Submit item for indexing in the B.C. Open Collection by BCcampus
- Submit item for indexing in the Open Library by eCampusOntario
- Submit item for indexing in MERLOT (requires an account)
- Submit item for indexing in OER Commons (requires an account)
- Submit item for indexing in other discovery services as required based on subject matter and interests of author team
