Background
My name is Trudy-Ann Moore, and I am originally from Jamaica—a beautiful island in the Caribbean, rich with culture and history. For the past 11 years, I have called Canada home and have fallen in love with its vast beauty and splendor. I have been an educator for over a decade, serving as a high school teacher, GED instructor, and now a language instructor. I enjoy traveling and connecting with others through shared experiences, and I take pride in being a cultural ambassador for newcomers to Canada. One of my greatest joys is seeing the light in people’s eyes as they discover the many possibilities and adventures Canada offers.
As Maya Angelou reminds us, “We are more alike, my friends, than we are unalike.” I believe that through sharing our stories and experiences, we discover the connections that unite us.
