Background and Development

Background: Transcultural Communications

The development, delivery and accompanying research for this project is supported in part by funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council.

The resources for this workshop were developed, written, and reviewed collaboratively by a team that included individuals with expertise in curriculum development, transcultural communications and workshop facilitation. In addition to the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology subject matter experts, partners from the Calgary immigrant community also provided input and facilitation expertise.  The partner agencies were Immigrant Services Calgary (ISC); The Immigrant Education Society (TIES); and the Calgary Catholic Immigration Society (CCIS).
