Workshop Overview

Learning Outcomes At the end of Session One of the Workshop, Participants will:

  • Have a greater knowledge of how their attitudes/behaviours/beliefs are shaped, and how to begin to make desired changes.
  • Be more comfortable participating in Transcultural networks.
  • Have a more in-depth understanding of self (self-reference criteria)

 

At the end of Session Two of the Workshop, participants will:

  • Have more extensive knowledge to support their continuing to evolve their Transcultural Communications skills.
  • Be aware of how to use the technique of Listen, Identify and Adjust to become more effective Transcultural communicators.
  • Be more comfortable joining and working within Transcultural networks
Duration Approximately 360 minutes over two sessions, plus an equal amount of time to review the pre-work for each session, and complete the between session exercise.
Knowledge and Skills Participants will have the opportunity to learn about Transcultural Communications in a global context. They will also gain an increased understanding of bias, and especially unconscious bias.

 

The participants will participate in experiential exercises designed to assist them with developing practices and techniques to support their Transcultural Communication capabilities.
