11. Late and Lost Items
With a shrug of the shoulders, you head out the front door, on your way for an evening of fun at the Den.
A month later, you have a new end-of-term research assignment to complete, that is due in only two days. You are stressed as a result of procrastinating for so long and finally head to the library. You collect some sources that you would like to borrow to complete the assignment. At the self-serve checkout however, the system will not allow you to borrow anything. You don’t want to know how much money you owe in fees so you do not bother to discuss the situation with one of the librarians or look online to find out how to pay your fees [opens link in new tab]. You know that you really should have returned your borrowed items when you had the chance.
