CHAPTER 3: SCAFFOLDING INITIAL TOPICS
One scaffold may bootstrap another.
Chapter 2 described how you can scaffold a rich outline for a writing project. The scaffold makes writing easier by rejecting the myth of inspiration. However, the Chapter 2 scaffold begins when you generate broad topics to launch the scaffold. Doesn’t your first step require inspiration? Chapter 3 describes how you can decrease relying on inspiration when you generate your initial topics. Chapter 3 does so by providing additional scaffolds to support how you generate the broad topics from which your outline begins.
