10.3 Video: How Miscommunication Happens

How Miscommunication Happens

Overview

This video is in a more cartoon style with talking shapes having conversations and discussing miscommunication. While it on the surface appears a bit youthful, the content is solid, and can be a very effective video to show at the start of an early class, when student focus is low. After showing the video ask the students to word cloud about miscommunication and how responses to it, tie back to the lessons on personalitys and group dynamics.

Student Perspective (Charlotte MacLean)

The animations in this video were entertaining and didn’t overpower the overall message. It talks about how communication is a 2-way street and how perceptions can change how we interpret a message.
