Field Characters | Leaf-like, pale chlorolichens. Thalli to 3 cm across, typically thick, unbranched, attached with a central holdfast (umbilicate). Upper cortex pale yellow, slightly shiny. Lower cortex present, smooth, black especially at the margins, and visible from above. Lacking rhizines. Vegetative propagules absent, apothecia common. Apothecia may be laminal or marginal, with a tan to salmon-pink or pink-orange colored disc. |
