| Field Characters | Small to medium sized bipartite cyanolichens previously included in the more inclusive concept of the genus Collema. Photobiont Nostoc, non-stratified, generally foliose, and lacking defined cortices. Olive black to brown, appressed to the substrate to ascending and sparsely attached. Lobes smooth, pustulate or blistered throughout, with or without isidia. No tomentum (or rarely present and very sparse) or soredia. Lower surface smooth, black. Apothecia rare in most species, common in others. |
